About Leba

Craftsmanship since 1957

Leba Metaalbewerking has been established in 1957, in the Baarsdorpermeer by Mr. and Mrs. Lesscher. This is the place where Mr. Lesscher started out as a local blacksmith. Gradually, Lesscher started to work towards designing and manufacturing machinery for the agriculture. A logical step, as the region where Leba Metaalbewerking was settled, was an agricultural area.

         

Mr. Lesscher was an incredible innovative man, which raised (brand) awareness in different industries within the area. Many used the services that Leba offered. This lead to an increase in both staff and machinery. After being settled in different locations in West-Friesland, Leba Metaalbewerking eventually established in Enkhuizen, in 1981. Here they have modern equipped facilities.

The four sons of Mr. and Mrs. Lesscher (Henk, Herman, Bart en Rob) joined the company in the 80’s. A lot of knowledge and expertise has been collected over the years in order to serve the customers.

Since 2020 the third generation (Niels Roskam and Marloes Groot, grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Lesscher) has entered the company management to maintain the business.
